About us

Founded in 1975, the auction house Schloss Ahlden has located its headquaters in the manor-house of Ahlden. The house is loaded with history, so was it once a place of banishment for the princess Sophie Dorothee von Hannover. She was the daughter of Georg Wilhelm von Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Celle. The auction house is situated in the heart of the Lüneburg Heath and offers a great environment for auctions of high quality antiquities. To this day the auction house Schloss Ahlden has grown to one of the leading auction houses of Germany. It holds three great auctions plus 2-3 varia- auctions a year. Our customers include private collectors and a large number of museums around the world.  We offer you an extensive range of high quality collector's items with partially museum quality. You can find porcelain from 18th to 20th century, old masters to modern paintings, furnitures from renaissance until today, silver, old glassware, art nouveau porcelain and -glassware, caskets and miniatures, vitrines and an exclusive offer of jewellery. To complete our high quality range of products we offer also tin and brazen objects, militaria and varia-items. Our representative offices in Berlin and Potsdam can be also contacted for transactions concerning the auction.
