Faun mit einem Bacchusknaben auf seinen Schultern
Bronze, dunkel patiniert. Anthrazitfarbene, hell geäderte Marmorplinthe, minim. best.; Im Detail fein ausgeführte Gruppe nach der antiken römischen Marmorskulptur, die seit dem 16. Jh. im Palazzo Farnese in Rom stand, heute im Nationalmuseum in Neapel (Inv.-Nr. 6022). Ges.-H. 30,5 cm.
Italian sculptor active 19th century. A dark patinated bronze of a faun with the infant Bacchus after the antique Roman marble sculpture. Minor chips to the dark grey marble base.
